~Marlene's Review of Twisted Perception~

Oh my goodness....where do I even start?

Let's start with the title: Twisted Perception
Twisted doesn't even begin to describe these characters and the dark world they live in. Aria's perception of life, love, and happiness is unlike any other female lead character I have read.

Now let's break down the Synopsis:
“This story is not one of rainbows and happily ever after’s, so if you’re looking for that, stop reading.”
Very true! This is dark tale, but not completely without romance. It's just a twisted kind of romance that I quite enjoyed!

“My story is fucked and deluded, just like the person telling it.”
Aria's back story is heartbreaking. Her troubled past has molded her into the woman she grew to be. She may be viewed as broken, but I would describe her as bent, not completely broken.

“You see, I’m a trafficker. I traffic gorgeous young men for my clients.
The lonely old women whose husbands are more than likely off cheating on them.”
Yes, you read that right. She breaks men to sell to woman to own as their possession. The process in which this occurs is not for the weak at heart or stomach. Be warned, but don't be warned off. It's quite interesting to fall into the dark storyline this author created.

“You’re not going to like me; I’m not going to lie.”
I actually DID like her. She is such a unique character that it was impossible not to.

“I’m a bitch, a manipulator, the type of girl your mother warned you about.”
Obviously, Mika wasn't warned. But he is just as twisted as Aria, if not more so. They have both met their match!

So in case you couldn't tell, I really enjoyed this book. It's fast paced, intriguing, and deliciously dark. I would give almost anything to live in this author's mind for just one day. I can't even imagine the craziness that goes on in there that doesn't even make it to the pages. Lol.

When Aria first appeared in Degrade, I knew I wanted more from her, and boy did I get it. I suppose you can read this book as a standalone, but I highly recommend reading Degrade first. I guarantee you will enjoy Zeke and Bexley's story.
