Heart Breaker turned out to be a pleasant surprise. When discovering a new author, you just never know what you are in for. Well, this one did not disappoint. The storyline is impressive, the characters are well developed, and the intimate scenes are beyond HOT! I became quickly invested and couldn’t wait for Aiden and Essie to come face to face.
Aiden is loving life down in Hawaii. Riding the waves, indulging in hot tourists, and not a care in the world. Avoiding the Callahan family empire has been easy, until now. Aiden is forced to return to Chicago and pick up where his family has left off. Aiden’s compassion, dedication and good heart comes through when he puts his all into the company, rather than sell it or allow it to fall to pieces.
Essie and her brother have been on there own since losing both parents. Life has been rough moving from shelter to shelter, but things had been looking brighter until the fateful accident that rips them apart. She has dedicated the years that followed to ruining the life of the only surviving Callahan member. He may have had nothing to do with Essie losing her brother, but someone has to pay the price.
So what happens when Essie finally makes her move to take down Aiden? You’ll have to read and find out.
This installment ends in a cliffhanger and I will be anxiously awaiting more. I highly recommend giving this new author a try!
