It’s clear as day in the blurb…I married a douchebage.
Truer words have never been spoken. Selfish, heartless, emotionless, and unapologetic describe this man to a tee. I found myself warming up to him at times, even swooning a bit, then Bella Jewel would quickly smack me back to reality and remind me of the cruel bastard he really is. Will I ever fall in love with this man, Bella? If anyone can make me, it would be you.
Marcus is on a mission to retain the business he believes he has earned. He must follow through on stipulations of his grandfather’s will. He is determined. He succeeds…almost.

Katia is the poor soul that falls victim to Marcus’s plan. She gives herself completely to this man. Head over heels and deeply in love. I love this character so much. She is optimistic, bubbly and has a naivety that drove me insane. My heart broke for her on more than one occasion. As I read the last chapter of this installment, my anger for Marcus intensified to new heights. He has completely shredded her to pieces. I just hope that this sweet, giving and carefree woman is not lost forever.
“He'll destroy me. Crush me. Take my life in his hands and twist it until there's nothing left but a pathetic, dangling string left.”
Writing that grabs a hold of you until the very last word; A plot that has you anxious for what will happen next; And sex scenes that will blur your vision and leave you panting. I need the next installment more than I need my next breath… Ok, maybe that’s a bit much, but you get the idea!

Volume Two: (Read & Reviewed Jan. 2015)
Bella Jewel nailed it again! The conclusion to this crazy journey has been written to perfection. It is almost impossible to envision a happily ever after for these two characters, but it happens in the best possible way. This installment is told in a dual point of view that shifts from present to past. It is full of angst, frustration, devastation, and a love story gone very wrong.
Marcus is feeling the pain of his past mistakes. If he had the chance to do it all over again, he would choose love. His search for Katia comes up empty and he begins to slowly self destruct.
“Pain rips through my chest as I remember the look on my wife’s face as she walked out on me. No. She can’t be gone.”
Katia tried her best to leave it all behind and start over. She has been given a slice of sunshine, but the darkness begins to consume her. She craves redemption. Revenge for all of the hurt and deceit she is unable to move on from. She has become comfortably numb and struggles to come out of that emotionless state.
"I despise you. You ruined my life. You let me love you."
The reunion of these two characters is quite a wild ride. Secrets, lies, and hate threaten to keep them apart, but fate clearly had other plans in mind. The epilogue proves that even the most destructive and dysfunctional pairing can find their way to a happily ever after full of love.
