He inhales sharply. The look in his eyes says we’re crossing into the danger zone again. It’s the only place I want to be with him. Because when we’re there, nothing between us feels dangerous. Everything feels right.

“I turn eighteen in a few more weeks,” I say, like my birthday is an open invitation for us to slam back into each other.

He nods. “I know.”

A breeze blow by and rustles his hair. A lock falls out of place. Instinct takes over. I raise my hand to reach for his hair.

But he’s faster. He grasps my wrist, and the second he does, the moment expands. It stretches and unfolds into the thing I will replay tonight and tomorrow and the next day. 21 Stolen Kisses is my first read by Lauren Blakely. I know that sounds crazy, but it’s true. That being said, I had no idea what to expect as far as writing style and story flow. What I found was great writing, great character build, and a storyline that kept me interested from beginning to end.

This story can be considered somewhat taboo, but I didn’t feel icky about it at all. Kennedy is a mature seventeen year old high school student and Noah is about eight years older and is an assistant to Kennedy’s mother. They both know that a relationship is forbidden in more ways than one, but denying their feelings had become impossible.

The reader is taken through sweet stolen moments, the heartache of separation, and finally the rejoining of two people that share a true love for one another. The obstacles that presented themselves to this couple were no match for fate.

I recommend this read for anyone looking for a sweet and heartfelt journey.
