Ilona's Review of Captive in the Dark
Loved it. I couldn't put it down.
Captive in the Dark is one hell of a roller coaster ride.
Captive in the Dark has great character description and is well written giving the reader heart stopping moments and a ray of emotions.
Livvie is a young girl who is saved by a unknown man as she is walking to school and becomes awed by the helpful stranger, Caleb. However, people are not always what they appear leaving Livvie in more danger by the helpful savior. As Livvie adjusts to her new surroundings, her only constant is Caleb. She has to learn to depend on him as much as fear him.
Livvie is a strong yet naive young woman who struggles with her new surrounding but continues to strive in survival.
Caleb is a dominating man who requires complete control. He is hard and angry but also able to show a softer side in order to gain Livvie's trust.

Her Masters Courtesan was the book that started me down the darker path...I loved it...I have already one-clicked because I only have 2 of the other ones in this anthology (that I haven't gotten to read yet) and had to have them all! 2 ARCs to read and review and I am diving in...CAN'T WAIT!!!! OMG! I LOVE CJ Robert's Dark Duet series and Pam Goodwin's Beneath the Burn! <3 Captive in the Dark is my first dark read which made me fall in love with darker and grittier romances ;) What can I say? Caleb/James has ruined me for others and I'll never be quite that vanilla anymore. Lol! There's just so much more emotion, struggles and pain in a dark read that sucks you in... and the HEA is so much more rewarding! Plus, the heroines are such kickass, strong women! I definitely 1-clicked this and would highly recommend it! Shared on Facebook. Thanks!
